Fill-related display and output options could not be converted

This Conversion warning may appear when opening a PlotMaker Layout Book in ArchiCAD 10. It usually displays the following message:

Fill-related display and output options could not be converted.
In PlotMaker you used Display and Output options to apply global settings to fills. These options have no equivalent in ArchiCAD, so they could not be converted. All fills (placed directly on layouts or existing in drawings) will be displayed as defined in the element's settings dialog box.

There is a difference in how display of Fills is handled in PlotMaker and ArchiCAD 10.
In PlotMaker, each individual Fill placed on a Layout can have its Fill displayed in three separate ways: Vectorial Hatching, Bitmap Pattern and Solid.

Besides this, there is a global setting for Fills, using which you can specify all Fills to Keep Original Settings, or set all Fills on all Layouts, within all placed Drawings of the Layout Book to All to Empty, All to Solid, All to Bitmap Pattern or All to Vectorial Hatching.

On the contrary, ArchiCAD 10 has global settings for Fills that always affect all Fills in all Model Views and on All Layouts.

For example, if you have 3 Fills on a PlotMaker 9 Layout, with one set to Vectorial Hatching, one set to Bitmap Pattern and one set to Solid, plus the global setting for Fills is Keep Original Settings, then you have a case that cannot be duplicated in ArchiCAD 10.

The above warning informs you of this case so you can modify the affected elements as needed before printing/plotting.

Layouts in ArchiCAD 10 can have Fills displayed either in Bitmap Pattern or Vectorial Fill depending on the state of the Vectorial Hatching On-Screen View Option. Model View Options do not have an effect on Fills placed on Layout, although these Fills can belong to any of the 3 different Fill Categories (Drafting fill, Cover fill, Cut fill).
