Custom line weight is restored to pen line weight
This Conversion warning may appear when opening a PlotMaker Layout Book in ArchiCAD 10. It usually displays the following message:
Custom line weight is restored to pen line weight. (6 layouts/master layouts)
In PlotMaker you could assign a custom line weight to lines, circles and splines. In this case the color of the line came from the assigned pen, but the weight was custom set in the element's settings dialog box. In ArchiCAD, you cannot assign custom weights to lines, circles or splines, so ArchiCAD could not convert this data. The weight of these elements depends on the chosen pen.
The problem occurred on these layouts/master layouts:
Master A2 Landscape
Master A3 Landscape
Master A4 Landscape
Master A2 Portrait
Master A3 Portrait
Master A4 Portrait
The way such a situation occurs is the following:
In PlotMaker 9, it is possible to define for Lines, Arcs/Circles, Freehand Lines, Polylines, Splines and the contours of Fills that the given element not use the line weight of the Pen used to draw that line (as defined in the Pens & Colors Dialog), but use a custom Line Weight value instead.
To do this, you can select the given element, go to its Settings Dialog, uncheck the Pen Weight checkbox and enter the desired custom value for the Pen Weight.
The result is that even the line weight defined for the Pen used by the element is a certain value, that particular element is drawn with a different line weight.
In ArchiCAD 10, there is no feature that could provide the same result. Therefore, all elements are set back to be drawn using the line weight of the Pen they are using. This will give a different result when displaying and printing/plotting with True Pen Weights.
