Desktop application - licensed or viewer mode
There is two kind of application on desktop platforms:
- BIMx Add-On, which is installed with ArchiCAD, this has the export Add-On also a BIMx Application (Graphisoft/ArchiCAD15/Add-Ons/BIM Explorer/BIM Explorer.app or .exe)
- BIMx Viewer, which is a free product can be installed separately (Graphisoft/BIMx Viewer)
Both version can be run as full BIMx version - if a license is available locally or via a network, without a valid license both runs in Viewer mode. (Until the end of the current trial campaign (end of October 2011) all BIMx versions installed with ArchiCAD run in full mode.)
If you have a BIMx license and you would like to open an educational model in BIMx Viewer: disable/unplug your protection key.
