This error message indicates that ArchiCAD has found corrupt data in the project file while reading or writing out the file. This message can appear during opening or saving a file. If it happens, ArchiCAD will fix the data structure, which means that elements (which can be any ArchiCAD elements - walls, columns, section markers or drawings, etc.) that have a corrupt data structure are deleted from the file.
If this message appears during opening a project file, then most probably the file has been damaged after it was saved. (ArchiCAD performs a 'checksum', which basically means that it checks that the file has changed or not after the last save). If this message appears during saving the file, then it could reflect an ArchiCAD error - in this case please save and send the file, as well as it's backup (.bpn) to your local Tech Support.
If this message appears, you can choose either of the following options:
Don't save Now - select this if you want to continue work with the damaged file. It is important to note that due to ArchiCAD's auto-fixing mechanism, the data structure of the file will be OK, so it is safe to work on with the file (e.g. no crashes will occur), but you need to carefully check the file for missing elements. It is wise to 'save as' a copy after selecting this option, so you can compare the file to its last saved version.
Save Anyway - choose this if you want to save the file, as it is (with elements missing). Note that this will overwrite the last saved version. Select this if a long time passed since last saving the file, and you do not wish to revert to the previous version.
Force Quit - choose this if you want to revert to the last auto-saved version of the file. The default setting for Autosave is 'Save every 10 steps', so you might be able to recover a state of the file with little data loss.
