Various issues related to data interchange between ArchiCAD installations running on Mac OS X and Windows.
Are Translators (I/O Config Files) Crossplatform?
Since Translators/Configuration files handle font conversions and some fonts have different names on Mac OS X than on Windows, config files may not always be crossplatform. Please check if all font names correspond to an existing font if you use Config files from another platform.
Are USB protection keys crossplatform?
Since ArchiCAD 8.1, USB keys are crossplatform, which means that they can be used on PCs and Macs as well. However, not all Operating Systems support USB. See the WIBU Key compatibility table for details.
Font usage on different platforms
ArchiCAD refers to fonts by name.
When opening multiplatform formatted ArchiCAD Files on either a Mac or a Windows machine: Only if exactly the same fontname is available on both platforms: then will the same font be found and used by the program.
