• GSZLIB.DLL Causes false Alarm with F-Secure

AC 8.1 Gszlib.dll is detected as backdoor Rbot -virus by latest F-Secure software. F-Secure confirmed the false alarm and are deploying a fix to F-Secure products.

You should add GSZLIB.DLL to exclusion list in F-Secure products so ArchiCAD 8.1 and ArchiCAD SE can function normally.

This is done in the following manner

F-Secure Internet Security 2006:

1. Main window: Virus & Spy Protection -tab, Advanced....

2. Real-time Scanning - Exclusions...
3. Exclude From Scanning -dialog - Objects-tab check Exclude objects (files, folders, ...)
4. Add... -button
5. choose file GSZLIB.DLL (from ArchiCAD 8.1 or ArchiCAD SE installation folder)

F-Secure Anti-Virus 2005:

1. Main window: Virus Protection -tab, Advanced
2. Real-time Scanning
3. check Exclude From Scanning and Add-button
4. choose file GSZLIB.DLL (from ArchiCAD 8.1 or ArchiCAD SE installation folder)
