Percentage fills are special fills regarding their functionality in ArchiCAD. They were planned to produce partial transparency on the outputs. In Archicad 10 - unlike in previous versions - they have no vectorial representation, and regardless of the on-screen view or output options, they always appear and print bitmap. Note that the Fill type setting dialog does show a vector fill pattern for these fills, but this will never be used as long as you don't edit the bitmap pattern. However, if you do change the bitmap pattern, then Archicad will no longer identify the fill as percentage fill, and the standard fill behaviour will be restored - in vectorial output the vectorial pattern will show. Note that Archicad identifies percentage fill by the bitmap pattern only. So any fill that has the same bitmap pattern will behave similarly, no matter what the name or the vectorial pattern is.
So it is recommended not to change the bitmapped pattern of the percentage fills in ArchiCAD 10.
