In a TeamWork environment, the Team Leader is responsible for managing the project, and therefore has special rights and privileges. The Team Leader is a fictious person - any team member can assume the role of the Team Leader when using the Team leader password. This article describes the Team leader roles in Archicad 10 through 12. Archicad 13 and above have a completely different concept of team roles.

Views
Note: Significant change to previous versions: Archicad 10 has NO VIEW SETS. There are only two view maps: "My Views" contain all your private views that you can fully control, but others can not see or use. "Public views" contain all the shared views that the documentation will eventually be built on.
Any team member can add new views to the "public views". Before sending changes, the view will appear with a green icon in the navigator indicating that you can freely modify/delete it. After sending the changes, the icon will turn yellow, indicating that the view is shared. A shared view's properties can only be modified by the team leader (without exclusive access). Only the team leader with exclusive access can delete shared views and change the structure of the hierarchical view tree (e.g. move a view from one folder to another)
team member roles:
- create, modify, delete My Views
- add new, or duplicate existing Public Views
team leader roles without exclusive access:
- change shared view's properties
team leader roles with exclusive access:
- delete shared views
- change Public Views structure (move views in the tree hierarchy)
Layouts
In Archicad 10 layouts are part of the teamWork file, and can be shared and reserved as sections and floorplans. The team member who reserves a layout has full control over it: he/she can edit the properties or even delete it. Any team member can create new layouts. Any team member can add drawings and other drawing elements (e.g. texts, lines) to any layout (no matter who owns it). If someone adds drawings to another teammate's layout, then during the next send and receive, the team mate can release those elements, and the owner of the layout can include those new elements in his/her workspace. (Similarly to floorplan workspaces reserved with marquee - you can create elements into the other teammate's workspace)
team member roles:
- reserve layouts
- edit, modify, delete reserved layouts
- add drawings to any layout
- create new layouts
- create new master layouts
team leader roles with exclusive access:
change the Layout Book structure (delete or move folders in the tree hierarchy)
- edit properties or delete master layouts
Publisher sets
Note: Publisher sets created before and after the sharing of the TeamWork file behave differently. Publisher sets created before sharing the project are all shared, and are "owned" by the Team Leader. The Team Leader can edit, modify, and delete these, even without exclusive access. Publisher sets created after the sharing of the project are owned by their creator (team member who created it, regardless if he/she is team leader or not) The creator can share the set, and then it will be visible for all team members. However, only the creator, and the team leader with exclusive access can edit, modify or delete these sets. Unshared (private) publisher sets are not visible, therefore not editable by anyone but the creator. Not even the team leader with exclusive access can view, edit, modify or delete an other team member's private sets.
team member roles:
- create, modify, delete private publisher sets
- share private publisher sets
- edit, modify, delete shared publisher sets created by team member
team leader roles without exclusive access:
- edit, modify, delete shared publisher sets that existed before sharing the file
team leader roles with exclusive access:
- edit, modify, delete any shared publisher sets
Known bugs, as of AC 10 build 987:
- team leader with exclusive access can not share a private publisher set (menu item is inactive)
- team leader with exclusive access can not see other team member's private publisher set (arguably a bug)
