Ever wondered why it sometimes happens that a whole Dimension chain gets lost when deleting a sole dimensioned element?
Let's see what happens in the following example:
Draw a PolylineWall
- Dimension it with a dimension chain
- Select one or more dimensioned elements for any modification (such as drag, stretch or change by a Settings window)
- Change it
- Execute the Undo command of the Edit menu (i.e. you realized that you did something wrong)
You're ok so far, but be aware before you make your next move that after executing the Undo command the dimensioning chain or chains (i.e. the entire dimensioning chain!) associated with the previously selected elements become selected.
This means that if you press <Delete> or <Backspace> or execute the Clear command of the Edit menu, you will lose the whole dimensioning chain or chains unless you deselect the whole chain first.
