Techtip of May, 2008: Changing Materials of Complex Profile Walls

Hi, I have a problem with complex profile walls. I've made a curved roof from a wall, but i don't know how to change its materials. I need 1, 2 and 3 colors to be different materials. Thanks.
The end material is controlled by the element (Wall, Beam, Column) material. The material of the extruded faces are controlled in the Complex Profile Manager dialog. (David Larrew)
Erika, however, advised how to change materials by using the pet palette:
In the window where you created your custom profile, select a fill.
Place your cursor in a way that you get the mercedes cursor on a side of the fill and click on the last icon in the upper right of the pet pallet.
This will open the Custom Edge Settings box. Note that you can apply this material, line and pen to one or all of the fill's edges.
Following on from Erika's advice, Bier (Central Valley, US) subsequently provided the ArchiCAD-talkers with an example of a Complex Profile Wall with diverse materials applied:
