TechTip of the Month Contest Winner of June 2004:
Erika Epstein's tip on printing using the Amyuni driver resulting in tiling!
"(...)
I was recently asked why margins kept distorting (getting larger) when printing using the Amyuni PDF Converter resulting in tiling (printing a sheet on multiple pages - the editor). It is important to remember that when creating pdfs the plotter settings do not have any bearing on this."
Indeed, you must set the margins in the Amyuni driver settings:
Open the Amyuni driver settings - in the File.../Page setup... dialog click on the Properties... button to open the driver settings dialog.
Choose the Advanced Options tab page.
In the Physical Margins (in millimeters) section enter '0' into both the Horizontal and the Vertical value fields (as seen in the picture below)
- Now you can proceed with printing your sheets tiled into several pages.
Hint: In PlotMaker, in the Master Layout Settings dialog you can
choose to apply the paper size and the margins of the current printer to the master layout;
adjust the top, bottom, left and right margins of the Master Layout.
