Sometimes the background image and the rendered model are not overlapping, because the render window, the background image and the rendered image has different size. To solve this, you have to set this values equal. For example: In the PhotoRendering Settings dialog, select the image, and set the needed resolution. The current image size appears in pixels. Set the Size values to this value in the top of the PhotoRendering Settings dialog. In the 3D Window Settings dialog set this value in the Window Size in Pixels area too.

Note: This is a known limitation of LightWorks, that it cannot use the camera roll setting. LightWorks renders always the vertical image, so try to set the roll value to 0, and then align the view with the image as possible.
